Fordham University Lincoln Center
Fordham University's graduate school of business tapped me to teach
the course, "Entertainment Marketing" this spring.
This 15 week class will focus on the role and the delivery of public relations and publicity in the mass media entertainment sector. As the adjunct professor, I will draw on my 16 years of professional experience as Chief of Photography and Video at Sony Music Entertainment Inc., which involved in-house visual media development for all manner of album and artist promotion.
A key element to bring the course material into the 'real world' for students will be guest lecturers from the creative, production, and promotional sides of the movie, theatre, and recording industries to provide case studies of marketing success. By drawing on my broad experience and professional connections in these industries, we intend to create a course that provides a cutting edge perspective for grad students to gain a practical rather than mere theoretical understanding of the complexity and opportunities available to entertainment marketers in today's business climate.
